Thursday 11th April. Taunton to Barnstaple. A bit lumpy along the southern edge of Exmoor. 85km
50km to Exebridge for lunch and then 35km to Taunton. Both sections fairly hilly with a total of 32km at 1-4%, 8.7km at 5-8% and 2km at over 9%. Ouch. 994m total climbing.
Leave Barnstaple early (9am?) so we get a chance to pace ourselves and don’t have to chase down the clock.
Lunch at the Anchor Inn, Exebridge, probably not much before 2pm.
Taunton cyclists meeting point Allerford Inn at 4:30pm. Arrive centre of Taunton around 5:15pm for the usual parade and evening event.
