Saturday 13th from Frome to Newbury, with an early lunch in Devizes or a late one in Pewsey. 97km but even flatter than Somerset.
Devizes at 37km, Pewsey 21km further on, then 39km to Newbury.
Probably a brunch in Devizes and the an early tea in Pewsey depending how the time goes.
We would like to do something when we cross the Newbury bypass A34 at about 5pm to mark the previous generation of Earth Protectors in the 1990’s Roads Campaigns who fought tirelessly to stop a road being driven through the peace of these meadows. Perhaps we’ll plant a tree or drop some seed bombs on the central reservation.
